SOONYE 30 inch Stainless Steel Under Cabinet Range Hood, Slim Kitchen Vent Hood Ducted/Ductless Convertible with 3 Speed Controls, 5-Layer Aluminum Filters,LED Lights

My husband and I aren't handy. I guess neither is my son, since it was him breaking the microwave over our stove that motivated us to get this range hood. We were hoping to put the house up for sale soon, and thought this might be more attractive than a big honking microwave there, which we had when we lived there. And my son (who is living in the house now while we rehab) is just death to appliances. He calls me every week to tell me he's broken the dishwasher (he refuses to clean the filter). ANYWAY, this is a nice item, arrived well-packaged so nothing was bent or broken. It fit perfectly, so the size is good for the standard space of upper cabinets that have a stove between them. My son is also not a great cook, so it's good to have a unit that will be able to vent any of his bad air from overcooking/burning rice or noodles or eggs, his 3 dishes. This is a lovely black color, and there are a variety of settings. Ours vents just to the cabinet above, but I had electricians install it to make sure it was safe, and lucky thing. There was a live wire behind where the microwave was. If you're handier, you can probably install it yourself. It cost us a couple hundred to have them put it in, but they also disconnected the live wire, cut some extra stuff out of the back there (from preexisting holes in the drywall) and put up a few GFI's by the sink, so that wasn't the only thing we had them do. It looks nice in this color with our SS dishwasher, but we'll probably change the cheap electric oven to black/stainless when my son moves out. Until then, I'm still letting him wreck what's there. The vent works well on this, as does the light. Instructions come with, and it's not huge or thick, so it's perfect for a small space. We have a cabinet above, so our kitchen really couldn't accommodate one of those big one's with a tube or box that goes up. Perfect for us! Good price for a DIY'er. A+ happy with my order.

Very simple to install, you might need someone else to hold it up while you drill. Looks and works great, matches my other SS Apliances. LED Lights are nice and bright and light up my entire rangetop. Fan speeds work good, buttons are easy to use.

This is ductless, so you need to be sure you have a way to vent the air expelled from the top. Other than that, itﾡﾯs a nice little unit. It has a standard width and depth, but has a little more height at 5? inches than some. The suction is good and the light is bright, not unusual.While the one small light does a great job as they always do, I always wish for, but never get, a larger, even brighter light. But thatﾡﾯs just me. I use the high setting on the fan all the time and am happy with it.There is nothing outstanding about this hood, it looks like they look and does what they do, at a very competitive price, so five stars.

I hired someone to install but it looked a bit harder than your typical range hood to install. I had to do ductless because I don't have a duct and it did not come with the right filters you have to buy them separately which I find annoying. Just let it work out of the box please! It did have suction, 250 CFM is just okay. As it does not vent anywhere it only does an okay job but that's just life in an apartment without external range hood venting.

I like the ductless option in this range hood since I donﾡﾯt have to do any drilling. The ductless option does remove fumes, and smoke but cooking odor still lingers. The most inconvenient thing is you have to get their dedicated charcoal filter (not included) at their store. Other than that, itﾡﾯs a nice range hood. The LED lighting is bright. The air from vent blows upward away from the face. Installation was not that easy.
